The Aussois Combinatorial Optimization Workshop is an
international one week event that takes place every winter at the CNRS Centre
Paul Langevin in Aussois (France), a ski resort in
the Savoyard Alps. There were 26 editions of the Aussois Workshop. The first took place in 1996 and the second in 1998. The editions of 2021 and 2022 did not take place because of the COVID-19 pandemic. |
The Workshop aims at putting together senior and young specialists in the field of Discrete Mathematical Optimization to present and discuss their most recent research work in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The participation is strictly restricted to the invited persons.
The organizers of the even year editions of the Workshop are Karen Aardal (starting 2016), Michele Conforti (from 2010 to 2020), Thomas Liebling (until 2008), François Margot (from 2016 to 2018), Denis Naddef (until 2014), Britta Peis (starting 2024), Laurence Wolsey (until 2014) and Rico Zenklusen (starting 2020). In the odd year editions the Workshop is organized by Michael Jünger (until 2017), Volker Kaibel (starting 2019), Gerhard Reinelt (until 2017), Giovanni Rinaldi (until 2017), Gautier Stauffer (starting 2019), and Paolo Ventura (starting 2019).
The special edition of 2008 was run by the six (odd- and even-year) organizers, jointly with William Pulleyblank. Similarly, aftert the break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2023 edition was run jointly by the even and the odd year organizers.
The workshop is run on its traditional single-session format. As usual, we will have sessions during both the morning and late afternoon/evening, leaving time in the afternoon to admire the beautiful scenery and enjoy some skiing.
The web pages of the past editions can be reached with the buttons in the upper right part of this page.
The books shown on the right column of this page were edited by the organizers and are based on the talks of some editions of the workshop.
